Travis - All I want to do is rock
Because of a frightening message I received in my guestbook, I must do an entry on:
Travis
They are the worse band in the entire world. Sarah says I just haven't heard some good Travis songs, yet. She promised to make a cd of good Travis songs. Five months has since passed. No cd. Which can only lead me to conclude there are no good Travis songs.
I think some people think that if they are from the UK, they must be good. This theory explains why people claim to like pussy bands such as Coldplay, and Starsailor.
I met a girl from Scotland once named Rosie. She confirmed my beliefs: liking Travis is not cool. She likes Belle and Sebastian and she took me to a dog collar museum so we must believe her.
Sometimes I tell people that their music is alright but their lyrics are horrible, just so I don't hurt the "fans'" feelings. However, how can I even concentrate on their music when they have lyrics like this:
"For the love you bring won't mean a thing Unless you sing." - Sing
I think they must have been listening to NKOTB when they crafted that line.
"Baby there's something going on today I say..." - Sing
Fuck off.
"Be not afraid." - Dear Diary
They ripped that one off at church.
"You'll realise one day That the grass is always greener on the other side." - Side
I've never heard that one before.

I've never heard this before, either.

Sometimes I wonder how much they had to pay the copyrighters.
"I'm going to write a song. And I'm going to sing it to everyone." - Last Train
Cheesey AND redundant.

No shit.

Guys say this to girls all the time. Bull shit.

The lyric-o-matic must have blown a fuse. It annoys me beyond belief that they continually have to inform us in songs that they have written a song and are singing it. It's as if their audience is not intelligent enough to figure that out. (Which could quite possibly be true).

They are always so descriptive.

I always watch porn movies and write lyrics at the same time too. (And this title had so much potential).
Sadly. I must stop. I could be here forever going through every single one of their songs. There's so much great material. I'd like to thank Travis and Sarah for making this entry possible.
