Concert Mania
In less than an hour I will turn 27. Anyone who complains about aging just don't know how to party. Don't we all need another excuse to drink mid-week and show up hung over the next day at work? I have friends who bitched about being elderly when they turned 22. Suck it up.
I found a new game I really like: Up Words. It is like Scrabble, only cheaper and I'm better at it. "Better than Scrabble?" YES. Jeremy actually thinks of the better moves only he concentrates so hard that his brain fries mid-game or he sobs uncontrollably in the corner when someone screams, "YOU ARE TAKING TOO LONG. I HAVE TO GO TO BED!" (Normally me). It works like a charm.
What have I been up to? Stuff. What will I be up to? Stuff filled with concerts:
Sep 25 Julie Doiron @ Zaphod's
Sep 29 SIMPSONS NTN!!!
Sep 30 The Stills @ Capital Music Hall (maybe)
Oct 02 Franz Ferdinand @ Metropolis
Oct 03 Magnolia Electric Co. @ La Sala Rossa
Oct 04 Alice Cooper @ Ottawa Civic Centre
Oct 05 The Von Bondies @ Babylon
Oct 09 The Killers @ Capital Music Hall (maybe)
Oct 15 PJ Harvey @ The Phoenix
Oct 16 J-Live/Brother Ali @ Babylon
Oct 29 Gomez @ Capital Music Hall
Nov 02 Muse @ Capital Music Hall
Nov 10 Beastie Boys @ Corel Centre
Nov 16 Eyedea & Abilities @ Babylon
Nov 25 The Pixies @ Arrow Hall
Nov 28 The Pixies @ Robert Guertin Arena
The list is really more for me, then for you. But isn't it exciting?!?! It sure makes up for the lack of concerts this summer. I've never done 4 shows in a row before either!
Anyways, I'm off to bed. Time to enjoy my last 20 minutes of 26-dom asleep.
