Here's a little end/beginning of the year survey I came[/stole] across[/from Stacy's site including the above words not in these "[]" thingies]:

2003:

1. go to a party?: not as many as I had during university. a couple birthday parties, some bbq's, "work" parties. pretty NORMAL. no wild naked bright eyes parties this year.

6. buy something extravagant?: a bus pass

7. do something nice for you?: go to England!

8. do something terribly wrong?: enter in waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many 50/50 draws at work (it wouldn't have been so bad if I had at least won once).

9. move?: not unless you count cubicles, then i'm all over this category.

10. go to a concert?: ooooooh a lot. jim guthrie, dirty 3, bright eyes/arab strap, the dears, buck 65 (x2), belle & sebastian, neko case/wilco, bonnie prince billy, the white stripes (etc. etc. etc.)

best of the year:

1. party: new years

2. tv show: dr. phil (ahhhh I'm so white trash, I know)

3. cd: hard to say. probably either buck 65's talkin' honky blues or cat power's you are free

4. movie: i'll say all the real girls. i think it gave a great depiction of twenty-something relationships.

5. song: bright eyes - one foot in front of the other or the trees get wheeled away.

6. experience: love *cough cough*

7. concert: dirty 3 (with belle and sebastian coming in at a close second)

8. book: songbook by hornby

2. tv show: joe millionaire (was that this year?)

3. cd: the leaves

4. movie: something's gotta give

5. song: eminem - sing for the moment (i know the album came out last year but much music had it on their best of 2003 so i can have it as my worst)

6. experience: finding out i would only be getting 10% of the back pay that was promised

7. concert: radiohead (because i didn't go to it and if i found out it was good, i'd be sad).

8. book: the beach house - james patterson

9. month: january

10. day: the day i found out my computer had died (rip)

february: found out bright eyes was going to be in montreal

march: bought tickets to see bright eyes in montreal

may: my roommate of 3 years leaving. saw bright eyes in montreal and having matt almost kill us on the way to montreal. and hearing jeremy say, "aren't we going out already?"

june: having the worst sore throat in the history of my life b/c my roommate thought it was better for her bf to infect us than for him to stay at home and infect no one. also, saw buck 65 for the first time and fell in love (and not just with buck 65)

july: being in my longest relationship ever and consuming two days a week with canadian idol-osity

august: going to england (missing the black out) and losing my computer

december: going out with sarah to the mod club! booya, grandma, booya.
