I may not be beautiful but I AM SMART....(or at least really employable)
Many things have happened to me in the past week. Most seem pointless to mention now. Hrm.
I saw Lali Puna last week with Matt who were most excellent. On Saturday Sarah and I went to Brixton's. It was quite exciting because a) Sarah came b) Sarah made me a present and c) the dj played Bright Eyes!!! (I have never been to a place where Bright Eyes was played). This morning I turned on the radio and heard Bright Eyes as well. I think EVERYONE has Bright Eyes on their brain. Bright Eyes is making a Christmas album. I was kind of upset when I first heard the news but I'm slowly getting over it. Of course, I will purchase it (if copies are still available).
I won a competition at work for a permenant job with the government. Out of 600 odd people who applied I came in FIRST PLACE. AHHHHH. I've never excelled at something so well before. There are five positions and I get first pick!! I've never come on top aside from a Scrabble game here and there. :) I feel like wearing some white trash t-shirt with "#1" written on it. However, I was told not to tell my fellow employees how much I'm making because I will be making more than them.
Today Matt and Giulia came over for my Scrabble party. VERY EXCITING. I won a game and lost a game. I haven't lost a Scrabble game in quite some time. It was a refreshing change (despite what some people may think). I think I come accross a little cocky while playing even though I don't wear a "#1" t-shirt.
